She scrubs up well! FINALLY!

One word for normally fashion awkward Kristen Stewart. WOW.

This years Scream awards Kristen Stewart struts down the stage looking, dare we say it, confident in a gorgeous dress by a new upcoming designer.

Others looking FINE on the Scream awards red carpet;

Vampire Diaries, Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder.

Christina Ricci in a classic, mini LBD

Stunning Eliza Dushku

I'm certainly not screaming at these awards.

She Strikes Again!

Our favourite style icon Lauren Conrad strikes again with another book, not fiction this time, oh no!

A style book so we can learn from the best and guess what? mine came today!
I'm so excited and can't wait to snuggle down into my bed and get some serious tips to discover my unique style.
I have only had time to scan through but i have already learnt how to get the same loose curls as her and apply the perfect day make-up, it's pure genius.
Now all i have to do is get my pen and paper and make a note on what i need to invest in. It looks like a new wardrobe, make-up set and curling irons.
Let the experimental times begin, prepare to see some failed attempts but also some complete successes.

The Hole Picture!

I just can't understand it!
There is nothing better then a big, thick knit in the winter, it is definitely a staple piece each year and what do they go and do this time round.
They put blood holes in them, what is the deal with that?
The whole point in a woolly jumper is to keep you warm so what use is putting holes in them? if i wanted a holey jumper i would buy one myself and wear it so much it creates them NATURALLY!.

And to be honest, they don't look that great on anyway, but don't worry I'm open to change so if i see a good one i will let you know.
This has got to be fashion on a bad day (season).

Call me old fashion but i like my jumpers in one piece.

The Parka

This one i love!
i wasn't to fond of it last year but i think it has grown on me and i have indulged in on last weekend, £95 from urban outfitters. yes, slightly pricey but it is a coat so you are going to be wearing it almost every day, especially in the cold winter nights approaching (EXCITINGGG).

I am very fussy on two things, one of them being handbags but the other being coats so it was a bit of a quest to find my dream coat.
I'm not going to lie, the parka i bought on Saturday actually made me perform a crime, Adultery! yes i cheated! on a coat i first fell in love in All saints but unfortunately for the coat he just had too much of an expensive taste (£180 to be exact) and i just couldn't commit. sorry.

Since i have bought my new Parka i have worn it everyday and so far it is keeping me warm, just need to get the perfect scarf and gloves for the perfect trio.

Parka's do come with warnings though.
WARNING be care full not to get one too long on your body or it will make you look about 5 inches shorter and for someone like me that isn't what i want. Make sure it falls just below your derriere and pair it with leggings, jeggings or bare legs if your feeling daring to go out in the cold.

Check out the Kate Beckinsale wearing one and she looks great as always.

Tapered trousers - the new hareems?

Ladies! just when we get used to the idea of hareems its time to through them out and make space for the tapered style, the new quirky trouser.

I'm going to be honest, i actually REALLY like them but there is one catch, i haven't yet found a pair that looks good, not because there horrible designs but because i am too small, i have tryed 3 pairs on and still no luck (i will keep you updated on my mission) That said, i have seen many petite women pull them off so i am still crossing my fingers that one day, and SOON! i find the pair that is my soul mate.

Now you will find that they come up quite short but don't be mistaken, this is what they are meant to look like, which of course makes it difficult to match a good pair of shoes. Apparently only heels look good with these but i think that is wrong, i have seen many stylish women wearing them with brogues (which i also want a pair of), this is what i would do for the perfect country-side/laid back lass look.

I am in favour of these navy blue ones from Topshop for only £38.00. Maybe these will be my perfect match?

I personally would pair these with brogues and a tucked in shirt but that's just me, if you haven't already got a pair, these are must haves for the autumn and you will be seeing a hell of a lot more of them as the months pass by.

I'm Back!!

I know i havent done a blog post in too long but i am back and they are going to be better than ever!!!
i have just been busy with GCSE's but now with that out the way i have made it a personal duty to do at least 3 posts a week as i am now in sixth form and need to step up my game.
But there is a difference, i understand my blog is called "slice of fashion" but i am going to cover much more because its a big wide world out there and i want to make sure i put my stamp and opinion on EVERY LAST inch of it.

The Maxi

Now I'm not sure about this bad boy, i have seen a few nice ones but i have also seen some drastic disasters!
I think it all depends on 4 things

1) TYPE Big dramatic ones are a big NONO! unless you want to draw unwanted attention to yourself, my favourite ones are either simple spaghetti straps one colour or a nice bandeau patterned (not to bright)like this one......

and its only from Primark!

2) TIME, in my opinion the time in which you wear your dress is very crucial, it is not a great casual day time look, like when you are out shopping stick to the summer shorts and t-shirt unless you are a celeb or generally don't care, excuses for day time wear are, the races, a summer event e.g. BBQ or Garden party and on holiday.

NO

3) ACCESSORIES be careful when you accessorize because you could go over board, like COCO CHANEL once said when you accessorize look in the mirror and take the last thing you put on OFF, when i think of maxi dresses i instantly think of Mercedes in Holly oaks in a black one, back combed hair and gold jewellery and it looks pretty chavy. Paired with oversize shades, gorgeous wedges and a nice cuff bracelet you couldn't go wrong.

4) LENGTH make sure it is past your ankles please otherwise i think you look like an idiot.

I like this one.....

even though i really want one for my summer hols it will be hard to actually find the courage to leave the apartment!

I know its called making a statement but jeeeezzz!
